More: I got Zara as a pet, with no intention of hunting with her. After some encouragement from her breeder, we entered a Junior Hunter test when she was two. With minimal exposure to birds, she did awesome and this encouraged me to train her to a higher level. Fast forward several years, and I'm now passionate about bird dog testing, trialing, and hunting. All thanks to my "accidental" bird dog.
