More: I adopted Zinny (short for Zinnia) from a breeder who had to reclaim the dog from some people she had originally sold to. They were abusive and neglected Zinny, not only emotionally but also they did zero vetting. The breeder is in Arkansas, Zinnia was sold to owners in Virginia, I live in Hawaii, on the island of Maui. This photo is when I had flown to get Zinnia (she was 9 months old) and we were staying with family, visiting in Newport Beach, before bringing her back to Hawaii with me. This is at 56th Street, where the last lifeguard tower is, at the river 'jetties', which is the border between Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. Zinny LOVED the beach and the water! It was a wonderful morning together! It is an informal "dog beach" there in the AM and we met so many sweet dogs that morning! Now, we have many more outdoor adventures awaiting us here in Hawaii! She is very loving, smart and a bright spot in my life ( I am now 14 months out recovering from cancer) and the star of my new Instagram page.
