More: Zip's grandfather died of cancer in 2016 at age 13. Told my wife, "I can't do this again." Three days later she found his grandson in a Texas litter and we packed the car. Little did I know my days of hunting were limited as now (age 81) I, too, have cancer---however Zip is my constant companion and sleeps next to me as we dream of upland birds.
