More: Zoey was born without a rectum. I didn't know that when I picked her up at 5 weeks old. The guy told me that they docked her tail too short, that's why she had no stub tail. Totally untrue. She was born deformed. The vet didn't know at the time if she would have the insides to work with to be able to survive. They had to do a special scan on her and they called me at work to give me the great news that they CAN go ahead with creating a rectum and put her together back there to be somewhat normal to have bowel movement, plus, it may not work out for her at all and would be put down. I had to pay $2400.00 upfront for them to even try the procedure. I'm happy to say that she's still with me 9 years later and the most precious girl ever. Even though I have to wipe her dupa after every bowel movement, she's my best friend and I would do it all over again.
