More: Bailey loves running in the woods. Her love of running is surpassed only by her love of swimming—sometimes in the muddy river in the woods, and other times in pools or lakes. Both running and swimming have helped her so much. She limped for about a year. During this time we tried many different things to help her. What finally made the difference was a visiting doctor from California who not only was able to give us a correct diagnosis, he was able to surgically fix the problem. By that time, she had lost a tremendous amount of muscle mass. We knew that we would have to work very hard to help her rebuild her muscles. Bailey has been supported by a wonderful team who has guided us in this process. Running and swimming have been almost magical for her, both physically and emotionally.
