More: Breton is equal parts protector and goofball. She loves the cold, snow and ice are her favorite things. When she was a pup she discovered if her paws got wet and she ran inside that she would slide on the floor! She loves to slide. We got her when she was a few months old and she has always been hyper observant, careful, and instinctively protective. At the park if another dog owner reprimands their dog, she will run over and bark at the owner in the dogs defense! Her vision is great and if there is something suspicious far in the distance she will sound a low guttural growl to forewarn. We named her Breton after a place we love and have visited many times...Cape Breton Island...it’s on the tip of Nova Scotia, Canada. She has been there with us, hiking in the woods and running on the beaches, it is an amazingly beautiful varied landscape. We even went whale watching with her! Although we live in Brooklyn, we have taken her on many outdoor adventures over the years. It takes a long time to win her trust but she charms everyone with her demeanor and those two different color eyes!
