Brook and Piper

Retired and Loving It!

More: Both of these girls were retired racing greyhounds, and both of them lived a shorter life due to the rigors and abuse of the racing life. Piper (on the left) died at age five from an aneurysm, only two years after a full racing career,, and Brook (on the right) died at age 10 from osteosarcoma at the site of a bone break that she received during her second race. I would love to see their lives honored by Orvis. My daughter and I were on a short vacation during Covid lockdowns to the Blue Ridge mountains when I took this picture. Piper was her dog, and Brook was mine.
