More: Col is my hiking and birding buddy and also my photographer’s assistant. He keeps me company in the woods, and bonus - is also my protector on solo hikes. Calm, gentle, goofy, and fiercely loyal - the perfect dog. This photo was from the first snow of last winter and he had snowflakes melting on his fur.
