More: I know people LOVE their dogs and I am no exception. But, Eli is an exceptional dog. He is my best companion and accompanies me on all my hiking trips fall through spring. Since he was 9 months old, he takes it upon himself to lead me back to the trailhead while hiking...just insists on grabbing the leash in his mouth. lol. While it's too hot in the summer to hike, Eli swims literally everyday in the creek that crosses my property. Swimming is definitely as the top of the list of his favorite things.
