More: Ellie was born the day after we had to say goodbye to our 10 yr. old Lab Rylee (due to cancer). 2 months later for some reason I was drawn to a local breeder's website, whom I had never heard of. I hesitated a few days as we weren't sure we were ready for a new puppy. When I called to ask about availability he told me he had one female. When he told me about her personality, he was literally describing our beloved Rylee! Then we found out when she was born! The big issue was that we were last pick of the females and his process was that on the day the pups were to go home, first pick takes whichever they want and it goes down the line to last pick (us). We told him our story and he advocated for us to the other buyers. As we were driving down to pick up whichever pup was left, he called and told us we got the pup we wanted! We were elated!! Now that we have had Ellie home for almost 2 months, she has moved right in and displays many mannerisms and attributes that Rylee did, including claiming Rylee's favorite spot on the couch! Ellie is su h a joy, and we truly believe she is Rylee reincarnated!
