More: I ran into a couple one day who had gotten Ember but ended up in a situation where they couldn’t keep her. She was so tiny and absolutely irresistible. I was just admiring how beautiful she was and getting ready to leave when they stopped me and asked, “Do you want her?” Now keep in mind… we already have five dogs, three cats, two birds, and a husband who would definitely give me the “really?” look — but then fall in love with her later like he always does. 😂 But the first thing that crossed my mind was my daughter. She had recently gone through the heartbreak of having to put one of her dogs to sleep because he was older and had really bad hip dysplasia. It was so hard on her. Right then I thought, this would be the perfect surprise for her. So without hesitation, I said yes. They handed me Ember’s leash, and just like that her journey with our family began. When we brought her home, she fit right in with the rest of our crazy, loving family. Ember is a spontaneous little diva — full of love, kisses, and personality. She absolutely loves her naps, and if she doesn’t get one before her training class, she won’t do a thing there except sit around and look cute. When we surprised my daughter with her, she immediately broke down crying. It was such an emotional moment after everything she had been through losing her other dog. We’re just so grateful that Ember came into our lives. She’s happy, healthy, spoiled, and so deeply loved. That couple was incredibly generous to trust us with her, and she truly is living her best life now. 🐾❤️
