More: Buttermilk is my natural therapy dog! She uplifts people all around our Coastal town of Pacific Grove, Ca. We visit the shops, put a smile on people's faces, including many over the years who have needed uplifting. She loves the out of doors especially to meet lots of people on our walks. Buttermilk has a gift to stop children from crying just by sitting and smiling at them and looking at a person with such gentle eyes and soul. You'd never know that she is in remission from an auto immune disease, Masticular Muscular Myositis (MMM) that caused her a lot of pain and destroyed the chewing muscles. She had to be treated with high dosages of prednisone at the age of 15 months to about 2 1/2 years. She was also attacked by a dog in the head and had paralysis similar to Bells Palsy. But through it all, she would still sit and wait for people to approach her as she sits with a welcoming, kind smile for everyone. She is a very special girl! A role model for more of what is needed in this world.
