More: I’d always had labs before rescuing Badger from a puppy mill. So I treated and trained her like any other dog. After basic obedience and successful agility training (on full-size equipment) she earned a good citizenship certificate and we went on to read with elementary school kids as a certified therapy team. Please note Badger is now 14 - but was only 4 when this photo was taken - and she continues to be a great representative of an often misunderstood breed.
