Maple
Queen of the Marsh Maple
Owner: Brooke
Breed: Boykin spaniel
Age: 2
More: Maple is the quintessential example of a Boykin spaniel. She is bursting at the seams with energy and beyond eager to please. She’s a machine working through the South Georgia reeds hunting marsh hens with close working style to her owner. While she is a driven working dog she’s nothing but a cuddle bug back at home. All her hard work in tidal creeks is rewarded at home with meals every dog dreams of (sometimes some table food). She is fiercely loyal to her owners, but she may prefer her favorite tennis ball at times. This tenacious, water loving girl makes any day hunting even more fulfilling and every evening at home complete with her companionship. *would like to mention Maple is my parents dog. This photo was taking by my husband who enjoys photography on his first time hunting with my dad. I’m submitting this photo to hopefully surprise them. They are Georgia born and raised with my dad working for the Georgia forestry commission as a wildland firefighter then as a county firefighter. My parents are the most incredible people on earth and they love taking maple everywhere. She has made my dad so happy to have a companion to take marsh hen hunting. My parents didn’t have dogs for most of their time together so seeing their bond with this girl has warmed my heart. Thank you for your consideration!
