Onyx Swoopy

“Best advice ever! Take time to smell the roses”

More: Onyx “Swoopy” is a true companion dog and not because she is my companion (well she is) but because really I am her companion human. She follows me everywhere, goes to work with me (remote) and most importantly she protects me and alerts me. We rescued her from Saving Animals from Euthanasia (a local rescue). She was just 11 weeks old and she was fiesty then and she is still. She has experienced loss (our 14 year old lab whom Onyx considered her non-biological father for over 5 years passed away) and she felt abandoned from her biological mother as Onyx was the only pup in her mom’s litter of 4 that wasn’t colored like the Bassett hound siblings and she had her father’s (boxer face and coloring of black and a small white marking) and her mothers (Bassett hound) long body and very short legs. She’s small but mighty!
