More: Rex was a great hunting and companion dog for us. This year he developed a bump on his right front leg which turned out to be osteosarcoma. Sadly, we had to put him down just shy of his tenth birthday. We were really looking forward to woodcock banding this spring with him, he was in great shape before cancer rob him of his life. You could tell he loved hunting and was a great running partner for me. I actually discovered the Morris Foundation after his passing, so great to see research being conducted for canines.
