More: Sam A 50% deaf dog i fostered who became the best friend i have ever had and i have had A LOT of dogs! At least 15, maybe more. He was adopted and returned, at an overcrowded county shelter that put him at risk for euthanasia. He was pulled by a local rescue group and came to foster with my family. Within a week we decided he was to stay and he did. Sam went everywhere I did, pedicures, haircuts, and if i showed up without him, ppl would ask WHERE IS SAM? He was excellent therapy and comfort after my son took his life and 14 months later I lost my husband. My life is not the same without him. He left this world in March 2025. I don’t know if i will ever have a soul dog like Sam again but I hope so.
