More: Teddy came into our lives after we lost our mother to lung disease. I was 25, and my brother was 24. He brought so much happiness, laughter, and love that he helped us heal from such a deep loss. He loved swimming, chasing tennis balls, and snuggling up with his favorite blanket. As a puppy he would always jump into the pool and swim to the deep end so we couldn't get him and make us late for work. Sometimes we would find him standing on the kitchen table, or running through the yard to the neighbor's house and straight through their front door. He was always getting into something and keeping us on our toes. He made us smile and laugh every day. Teddy passed on May 22nd, 2025 from bone cancer. We only found out he had it after other routine testing was done when we were attempting to schedule a teeth cleaning. He fought really hard until the very end to stay with us, forcing himself to go on walks and trying to play with his toys until the very end. It progressed very fast, and it was the most difficult decision we've ever had to make to let him go to end his suffering. We felt we waited until the last moment, and then then wondered if we waited too long because we didn't want to lose him. The loss we feel is immeasurable. If we could have given up everything we owned to keep him a little bit longer we would have. He was the sweetest boy and I will miss him for the rest of my life.
