More: Gia is a rescue dog that chose me when I went to our sheriffs department animal shelter. Our sheriffs department has a shelter where they only shelter animals who’s previous owners were arrested for animal abuse! Gia was scared to death of anyone and everyone. It took Gia about a month to even make eye contact with me or even explore our house or yard! Now more than two years later she is healthy, happy and loving life. She loves to hike, swim, explore and sometimes just chill. She loves us unconditionally as we do her! She is definitely part of the family and truly a happy girl.
