More: My husband was very sick and wanted a dog to keep him company while I worked. I resisted but ended up at shelter. Ginger Snap was so sweet and cozied up to us. We rescued her on 7/28/19. Brought her with me to rehab center to visit husband. She/I would join him while he did rehab. Nurses would say hi to her by name and ask about her. Ginger Snap would sit on ledge looking out window while I visited my Husband. She was so good nurses didn't know she was there. Husband passed on 3/9/20. She is the smartest dog, loves her "babies" (toys), let's me know when time to play by tossing toy at me or talking to me and has been a great source of comfort and joy for me. We rescued each other.
