More: I rescued Layla right before what I didn’t know was going to be the most difficult time in my life. I wish I could say that her empathy got me through but it was more of her aloofness and zest for adventure that took my mind off my hardships and put me in a place of joy. From barking at waves, to climbing mountains, to not understanding why small frogs would hop away from her, she truly makes me smile like nothing else. Hopefully my Layla Bean would be able to bring some joy to the Orvis cover!
