More: nellie was adopted from a shelter and then immediately surrendered because the owner had not had dogs before. i decided to keep her rather than allow her to be returned to the shelter. she loves being active like others of her breed but is also extremely laid back (probably due to some large breeds in her breed makeup). she has changed my life for the better in so many ways!
