More: Our family rescued Baxter when he was 7 months old. I called the local animal shelter about a different dog and they told me they had too many meetings already but they offered to take down my contact info in case another dog came in that day. I didn't expect to hear from them but 10 minutes later, the shelter called to say an owner was going to surrender her puppy to them but connected me with the owner. We agreed to meet and my family of 4 immediately loved Baxter and knew he was our dog. We drove home with him right away on July 4th of 2020. It was meant to be! He's a good combination of playful energy and cuddlebear.
