More: I raised Ali in hopes that she would become an autism service dog for a child. After just under a year and a half together, we said goodbye to her and 5 months into her formal training she decided it wasn’t for her and chose the pet life instead. We then adopted her, and while we wish she would have made it to the finish line as a service dog, we are thankful that she chose us!
