More: Bandit is one of my two dogs. His brother, Newt (named after a character in Lonesome Dove) is a six year old blue heeler mix. Both boys enjoy hiking, riding in the mule or ranger on the ranch, and taking naps with the cat they brought to my back porch two years ago. The cat, Smokey, is Bandit’s hide-and-seek partner. Newt rescued me, and Smokey and el Bandito have rounded out our little family.
