More: Beau is the best hunting dog I have ever had, and I've had the privilege of sharing this life with more than a few. Beau is a gentleman in the blind, at the local brewery and at home. He is a true owner's dog and an absolute pleasure to be around, something hard pressed to find in a hunting dog. He would trade me for a kid in a second, and has never known a stranger. He is a 40lb pocket rocket that is at his happiest with a bird in his mouth. He sees and hears things before me, and because of this, Beau has made me a better hunter. It has been the privilege of my life to train and care for this little red dog with the heart of a lion. We hunted three states in his first season, and I saw things from him I would not believe had I not seen. He swam rivers, he broke ice chasing cripples, he grabbed a goose almost his size and swam it 80 yeards back. He deserves every bird he gets.
