More: Bella is a rescue who adopted me ten years ago. She is a very sensitive, intuitive canine who she thinks her job is to be my protector. When we are out and about and/or hiking she is always in safeguarding mode. When Bella senses stranger danger, her breathing changes and there is a low deep throat growl that only I can hear which puts me on alert. At home, she can sense someone outside and hears footsteps before anyone even knocks on the door. She was an agility champ until we both burned out. She was a super fetch partner until she got older. Now she chases the ball, stops and waits for me to fetch the ball. She is my heart dog.
