More: Bubba is a miracle dog. In August 2019 our youngest son unexpectedly passed away. We were devastated. Four days after our son passed away my husband got an email from Petfinder stating there was a dog for rescue at the shelter six minutes from our house and the dogs shelter name was NATHAN! We had no intentions of rescuing a dog but we went and looked at him and he won our hearts. He’s gentle, he’s loving and comforting. We later found out from the Humane Society that he had been sent up here from Oklahoma the day before our son died. We felt this was a comforting sign that our son was OK. We of course, changed his name to Bubba which was a pet name I sometimes used for our son.
