More: Our dog’s official name is Ulysses von Alpensee, but we and everyone in our neighborhood know him as Budddha, the mayor of Queen Village (our neighborhood in Philadelphia). He is a full grown Leonberger, weighing 136 pounds. People routinely pull over to take his picture and ask questions, and children come up to hug him as he patiently takes in the attention. He enjoys long walks, cold weather, lots of petting and affection, frequent naps and treats, but his favorite activity is hanging out with his parents.
