Buster Brown Keller

Small Town Buster Brown

More: Buster Brown was adopted on December 18, 2019 at the Lewis/Clark Animal Shelter. He stood out from the rest of the dogs in the shelter. He was shy, quiet, and nervous, we just knew we couldn’t let him stay there. So we told the gal at the front desk to put him on hold and we went straight to Petco. We bought just about everything we would need for him. The next day we went and picked him up. He was very shy and nervous at first but as soon as we got him all settled in he came to the realization that we were his new family. He started cuddling us on the couch and taking long naps! During his naps we would read his journal that they gave us. He was trained at a prison and the person who trained him wrote down step by step how he trained him and how he was progressing each day. It helped us understand his behavior a little better. When we took him to Petco to get groomed for the first time the groomer mentioned something about his ears. We had noticed something off about his ears but didn’t think much of it. The women mentioned that his ears looked like they had been cut and rounded. We were instantly concerned and remembered that his paperwork did say he was surrendered. Which also explained why he wouldn’t let us pet the top of his head. Luckily his ears were all healed up and so we made it our goal to earn his trust. We ended up gaining his trust completely and now we can’t get space, he always wants attention and always wants to go on car rides and play outside. It was the best decision ever to adopt and will always recommend it to everyone!
