More: Callie is a fundamental adventurer—even beyond my wildest hopes when she first came home with me last August. Back then, she was a 9 week old rescue from a reservation in New Mexico—and, I was pretty darn lost after just moving to Colorado on my own and losing my stepdad. Ever since then, it’s been me and this gal—and, she’s never ceased to be all in. Every hike, kayak, camping trip, mountain drive and plane ride—even strapped to my chest up 13’ers and all the trail miles that came before she was big enough to have four paws on the ground, herself.
