More: Copper was my husband Brian’s emotional support dog (unofficial service dog). As a Persian Gulf War veteran who struggled with PTSD, she was his ‘PTSD Doggie’ (as he lovingly referred to her). Caring for her, walking her, and especially snuggling with her helped to calm and comfort him. Brian lost his ‘Silent Battle’ on August 4, 2021, and she (and I) miss him dearly.
