More: Darby traveled to our home from a farm in Illinois and has been on the road ever since! He has chased ocean waves, and hiked the mountains of the Appalachians and Rockies. He has traveled much of the U.S. but his favorite is weekend hikes close to home in the Land Between the Lakes in West Kentucky and the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois. Darby is a gentle giant at 115lbs. He stops in his tracks for children to pet him or hug his furry neck. Wildlife can cross his path unbothered, and cats can share his food bowl. He is confident, loyal, intelligent and has a distinctive language to communicate with his people. He would make "Lassie" proud! This photo shows his love of cold weather and the snow where he can comfortably flaunt his beautiful fur coat.
