More: Dixie is a rescue dog from the Humane Society shelter in Licking County Ohio. I happened to stop by there on a whim one day just as she and her sister arrived. She was super friendly then as she is today and I adopted her immediately. She was a star at the shelter for about a week until she was released to me and is now a star where I reside with with her, a standard poodle named Lacey and a mountain feist named Mollie. I might add that she is a large girl at about 85 lbs of solid muscle and she aquired the best genes of her mix and points like a well trained field dog.
