More: Dixie has since passed but she was brought home by my wife, but she decided I was her human. She was with us through the death of our first child and she was a proud big sister to our current son, Luke. Later in her life, she had a leg amputated due to some unknown tumor. She proved that dogs are three legged animals with an extra leg. Although this is an old picture, it will be hard to find another companion like Dixie. This picture is a little overexposed, but I’ve always loved this as, in my mind, she glowed.
