More: My son found Duke lying on the side of the road on his way home from school. We live in a canyon along a river. Duke is an amputee. We quickly learned he had likely been abandoned after trying to find his humans. Sadly, that happens a lot in our area. What we learned, and decided, is that we were his humans. We have watched him flourish, learn how to play and learn that sofas and beds are for cuddling with your humans. Duke is the sweetest and is full of life, and we love life with him in it.
