More: I rescued Duke in 2018 and we have been inseparable ever since. I've been back on crutches since 2018, due to a leg injury and complications, and have undergone 16 surgeries since 2011. Duke has been with me through 12 of those. He's the best dog in the world. He walks with me on my crutches and goes just about everywhere with me. I know I rescued him, but in ways he doesn't know he's rescued me just as much.
