More: Ellie had been surrendered to our local shelter for chasing chickens and being too hyper. She had been given away three months earlier so her history before that is unknown. Despite being six years old, she had not been spayed. We had just lost our yellow lab the month before. As volunteers, we walked her and fell in love. We fostered, then adopted her. She is a great dog with the only bad habit of being too friendly. She is a great hiker and bird and squirrel watcher! Happy life!
