More: Gidge is a working tripawd. He was the last dog to be adopted from the shelter after losing his front right leg and being abandoned by his first family in 2020. He's now Missoula County's inaugural Pet Commissioner, a volunteer therapy dog at the University of Montana, and a veteran at Nosework and Agility. He enjoys camping, hunting morel mushrooms, rafting the Bitterroot River, shepherding bears and herding livestock, and does it all on three legs because when life knocks you down, you get back up.
