Howling Hugh

Greetings from Howling Hugh

More: Hugh was adopted from Rawhide Rescue in Warren NJ. He was originally from Kentucky and found wandering the woods. He had seriously injured and his back leg had been broken and healed incorrectly. We fostered Hugh as part of our Girl Scout Silver Award & my daughter felt we already had all the ideal settings for this discarded dog. We had a Treeing Walker Coonhound, a tiger cat, a warm fireplace, a large fenced backyard and a loving home. We foster failed and about the time we decided to keep Hugh he began lifting his head to Howl. He has not stopped since. Hounds are often abandoned, abused, left in shelters and considered throw away dogs. What a shame because they are worthy of love, they are smart breeds and perfect family pets.
