More: Our dog Huntley was the most loving, adventurous dog. He hiked miles in the Adirondacks, loved to “periscope” out of our sunroof to get a full view, wade in the river, run with his dog cousin Luther, and enjoyed snuggling with his cat sister Libby. My mom gave him the best life.. unfortunately, our Huntley died two weeks ago unexpectedly from cancer. After an emergency splenectomy, blood transfusion and post-surgery acupuncture, he went to Heaven. Mom did everything she could. He was loved beyond words, and we miss him terribly. I think in this picture, his smile says it all. I’d imagine he’s saying “Thank you, mom. I’ll be at camp whenever you need me. I love you.”
