More: Ireland, a former show dog came into our lives when we needed her, as she needed us. Basenjis are not fans of the water, often avoiding the water at all costs. Yet, Ireland will never pass up the chance for a boat ride. To take in the sights, the smells, the sounds and a breeze on the lake gives credence to the term lucky dog. For that we are grateful, loving her for the unique lady she is.
