This picture was taken during his first winter while I was snowshoeing on a neighbor's trails and Jack was barreling through the fresh, deep snowfall doing nose dives in the snow, smelling whatever scents he picked up on. His frozen beard reminded me of Old Man Winter, even though he was merely a puppy!
