More: We lost our much beloved Golden Retriever , Jackson, one week ago to hemangiosarcoma at the age of 7 . He was the center of our family and our perpetual puppy. He was our constant companion, playmate, yard protector, greeter , adventurer and pool lifeguard. His sweet and gentle nature opened the hearts of everyone who crossed his path. Our hearts are heavy and we miss him terribly. We lost him much too soon to this dreaded disease that affects so many Goldens. Our hope is for earlier detection and better treatments in the future so others don’t have to endure the same heartache.
