More: Jersey was the first pit bull I ever met. She was an outstanding ambassador for her breed, leading me to rescue several of them over the years. She had an amazing life with 2 human sisters that she adored. Jersey earned her dog wings last week after a battle with several debilitating diseases. I took this photo shortly before the vet visit.
