More: Kenji is a very special dog. He was returned to the humane society twice before my son, Taylor, adopted him in August 2019 to help with his anxiety and severe depression. Kenji is now my emotional support dog as, unbearably, Taylor lost his battle with his depression and passed away by suicide September 19, 2020 at the age of 26. Kenji hasn't left my side since. Kenji was with Taylor 24/7 right up until the end and helped him try a little longer to beat the disease. I thank him every day for being there for my precious son and he will be with me for the rest of his life.
