More: Koa is a registered and credentialed therapy and animal assisted crisis response (AACR) dog with the national organization called Pet Partners. He regularly visits schools, senior living complexes, our local fire stations, first responders and fire administration/city hall offices. He is 85 pounds of love and enjoys offering his “hugs”and support to anyone big or small in need of crisis comfort. Chosen at the age of 7 weeks specifically for this kind of work, Koa was the pick of a litter of nine pups from AKC registered parents. His daddy dog and his grandfather dog are both service dogs so we trained hard to carry on the family line of giving back to the community. When he’s not working, Koa loves to go on hikes, swim and play with his doggy friends.
