More: Our story begins with 3 best friends whose dogs became instant best friends. Buttercup, Abbey & Lizzie spent the better part of their lives boating and running around together. They loved to swim and chase balls at Mason’s Inlet. This is where the picture was taken in the Fall of 2014. Buttercup was always the life of the party, never afraid to get in trouble and then turn around and make you laugh with a silly expression. Buttercup passed in August 2021 from Oral Melanoma. Lizzie is the athlete who always beat the other girls to the ball even after she had her front leg amputated in June 2021 due to Osteo Sarcoma. She still loves the beach, swimming and her adoring parents. She makes us smile. Abbey was the sweet & playful love bug always looking for attention and kisses. Abbey passed in September 2021 from Right Atrial Hemangiosarcoma. She took her last good breaths on the beach shortly after swimming to shore with her tennis ball. We cherish our memories of all the happy times these 3 girls spent together. Truly a life well lived.
