More: Lola is the 2nd pup we have rescued (her brother is 8) and she just got right in as soon as we got her. In May 2021, she got hit by a car right in our front yard and we thought we had lost her so soon after getting her in December 2020. She had severe back and jaw injuries, needing surgery and hospitalization for more than a week. She was so strong and while we were devastated, she was a trooper and now is better than ever. Recovery was crucial and we followed doctor’s orders to the letter. Having her able to run and play like she always did was worth every single penny we spent t to heal her…and it was a lot 😂. She was a Christmas gift for my 13yr old daughter so it was not even a question we would save her. I think she knows how much we love her.
