More: Lovey was rescued in Hampton, VA in August of 2017. She was sooo skinny and malnourished and no one knew how long she had been out there on her own. She weighed 2lbs. It took a long time to get her to stop eating roots in the yard. This made us think she had been foraging a long time, on her own. She is now Queen of our Roost! She loves everyone and lets us know who is boss, but she also has that leftover shyness from being so scared when on her own. We don’t know how we ever made it without her.
